Positions: Cafe Staff | 405 E Franklin St. | Bingen, WA

**General Overview:** Responsible for performing the daily operations of our cafe, including set up in the morning, making food and drinks for customers, maintaining a clean and orderly work and customer space, and closing down operations at the end of the day. Cafe Staff must maintain an upbeat attitude, and be able to work at a rapid pace to keep up with customer demands, and ensure that guests are satisfied with their food and beverage experience. Cafe Staff need to be able to obtain MAST certification in order to serve alcoholic beverages during all hours of Cafe operation.

**Major Duties:**
1. Performs all duties necessary to keep the front of house flowing, including drink preparation, food preparation, cleaning, restocking, and anything else needed to keep operations moving.
2. Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize waste.
3. Responsible for ensuring that all invoices and end of shift register reports, are on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
4. Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of coffee and food preparation and service.
5. Maintain professional cafe image, including cafe cleanliness, proper attire and appearance standards.
6. Knowledge of cooking procedures.
7. Able to prepare food according to food handlers’ guidelines.
8. Able to communicate with all hotel staff.
9. Knowledge of where and how everything is stored.
10. Able to multitask.
11. Ability to work in a high pace environment efficiently and effectively, keeping in mind and anticipating the needs of the customer and your co-workers at all times.
12. Ensure positive guest service in all areas.13. Building and maintaining good customer relations, maintaining customer loyalty.

**Minor Duties:**
1. Estimate food and beverage needs and inform manager when it seems an item is low.
2. Knowledge of safety rules for kitchen equipment.
3. Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing demeanor.
4. Must possess excellent and diplomatic communication skills for dealing with diverse staff.
5. Ability to anticipate customer and business needs.

1. Some barista or food service experience a plus;
2. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
3. Food handlers permit;
4. 21 years of age or older – MAST certification mandatory for Cafe Staff

***This position is $15.74hourly + tips. We are looking for year-round full and part time employees to join our team!***
