Worksite Location: Hood River
Work Schedule: Full-Time; 40 hours per week; Monday – Friday (Some weekends as needed)
Wage Range: $26.11 – $29.38 per hour
Bilingual Differential Pay: $0.50 per hour worked
Reports to: Klahre House Program Manager

Who are we looking for?
The Foster Parent Coordinator assists with supporting and growing the foster care programs by aiding in recruiting short- and long-term treatment, foster care, respite care, and crisis and emergency care for youth.
What you will do…
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to prospective and existing foster homes and act as
• liaison between foster families and the treatment/education teams
• Respond to all inquiries within reasonable timelines (preferably no more than 48 business hours), give public presentations and act as a resource for foster recruitment.
• Coordinate respite care for youth and be responsible for records to assure compliance with funders. Coordinate monthly training for foster parents and ensure annual training needs are met.
• Communicate weekly with foster parents and conduct monthly in-home visits assuring the foster parents are in compliance with audit and funder expectations (OYA, DHS and DHS licensing)
• Collaborate with foster parent certifier to train and onboard new homes.
• Demonstrate good judgment, dependability, punctuality, and conscientiousness.
• Observe confidentiality of clients and fellow team members.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education, Experience, and Requirements…
Required:
• Bachelor’s in human services or closely related field
• Valid driver’s license with auto liability insurance
• Experience in foster care preferred—either professional or personal
• Experience with “at risk” youth
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to use computer programs and databases
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
Preferred:
• Bilingual – English and Spanish
