The Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation and staff of dining outlets including the Cascade Room, River Rock, and Green Apron delivery maintaining the highest level of standards and efficiency. The Assistant Manager will bring fun, and hospitality energy to the team and customers during our busiest evenings, weekends, and holidays.

JOB DETAILS:

  • On a busy Saturday evening, the Assistant Manager will oversee 35 team members, and one of our 3 restaurants can seat over 287 guests.
  • This position will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable law. This position will also hire and manage minors aged 16-17 with training, onboarding, schedules, breaks, meals, and timekeeping.
  • Schedule and train staff accordingly to ensure proper coverage and timely service.
  • Exhibit control of all shifts; monitor standards, cleanliness, and team performance relative to timing and accuracy with the goal of total guest satisfaction.
  • Motivate staff, build morale, and practice succession planning. Holding regular team meetings and creating emails and communications to keep the team informed and knowledgeable on events, changes, or employee updates, and creating fun contests, and incentives to motivate teams.
  • Embrace and practice all the resorts standards.
  • This position requires participation in our Manager on Duty Program. The MOD program provides the Lodge with manager coverage as 1st point of contact as needed property wide. Training is provided and Managers may be requested to complete a regular MOD Shift that can include evenings, weekends, days and holidays. This opportunity is viewed as a valuable part of our leadership development program.

IDEAL EXPEREINCE:

  • Ability to lift and quickly transport heavy trays up to 40 lbs. on slippery surfaces.
  • Ability to listen effectively, speak, and write English clearly.
  • Possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • This position works alongside two other Assistant Restaurant Managers, and reports to the Restaurant Manager, with leadership and mentorship from the Food & Beverage Director.
  • Familiarity with all positions in the restaurant & bar environment and being able and willing to fill those positions when needed.
  • Ideally, someone with contemporary mixologist experience.
  • Someone with experience serving or selling regional wine and craft beers.

COMPENSATION:

$25-$28 per hour

$25 (Entry Level)

$26-$27 (Some experience)

$28 (More than 2 years experience)

HOURS:

Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Mostly nights & weekends (Ideal schedule: Wednesday-Sunday, 2 pm- 11 pm) A willingness to work nights, holidays, and weekends is desirable in the hotel and hospitality industry. There is flexibility in trading weekend shifts with other managers, but ideally, we’re wanting someone able to commit to our busy hours in the evenings and on weekends.
