Salary Range: $5,313./month – $6,241./ month DOQ
COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER – HOOD RIVER, OR – The City of Hood River is located in the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area. Hood River’s permanent population is 8,250 but swells to over 20,000 on summer weekends.
The Community Service Officer position is represented by the Hood River Police Association. The City of Hood River Community Services Officer performs a wide range of duties in code enforcement, evidence administration, tech support, and parking enforcement. This position is unarmed and non-sworn position.
Excellent benefit package offered; Oregon Public Employees Retirement System, City pays 90% of Health Insurance Premium, City VEBA contributions, vacation, and paid leave/Holiday accruals. Bilingual pay 5% of base wage.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent, plus three years of experience in a related field. An associate’s degree in political science, criminal justice, public administration, or a related field is preferred. Any combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. Candidates for the position must pass a criminal background check, obtain and maintain a valid Oregon or Washington driver’s license, CPR, first aid certifications, and must have the ability to obtain and maintain CJIS certification.
