WorkSource Oregon has a limited number of scholarships available for customers to earn their Commercial Driving License (Oregon Class A CDL) and enter a career in trucking.
Scholarships cover school tuition and fees.

*Oregon resident of Hood River, Wasco, Sherman, Gilliam, or Wheeler County (For Washington residents, contact People for People at 509-281-1381; other eligibility may apply)
*Unemployed or Underemployed (working a PT or low-wage, low-skill job)
*Current driver’s license with clean driving record
*Ability to pass a background check
*Ability to pass a drug test
*Ability to pass a DOT physical exam
*Reliable transportation to commute to school in Portland for four or more weeks
*Willing and able to accept work driving long haul/over the road (or have a letter of intent to hire from a local employer)
*Reasonably stable work history (attach or copy and paste your resume)
